About Us:

Journey Learning Center utilizes a low staff-to-child ratio, which enables us to provide individualized, comprehensive and intensive programs overseen by certified professionals. Family involvement is key to our comprehensive approach.

Speech Therapy

Speech Therapy services focus on functional communication skills through the use of therapeutic play, facilitation of peer interaction, and language building activities. Oral motor skills and articulation are also addressed according to each child’s needs. Therapy is conducted through both individual and group sessions.

Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapy addresses a child’s ability to participate in daily living activities. Occupational Therapists assist children with social-emotional, physical, cognitive, communication, and adaptive behavior challenges. Specific areas emphasized include gross and fine motor coordination, visual-motor abilities, visual-perceptual skills, sensory processing, play skills, self-help skills and safety awareness.

Therapeutic Listening®

A sound-based intervention that, when combined with sensory integration activities, can impact sensory modulation, attention, behavior, postural organization, and speech and language difficulties.

RDI®

Relationship Development Intervention is a parent-based treatment approach which empowers parents to guide their child’s remediation of social and emotional deficits. Dynamic intelligence and experience sharing communication are emphasized throughout the day.

ABA

Applied Behavioral Analysis utilizes a variety of individualized strategies to increase appropriate behaviors including communication and social behaviors, and to decrease inappropriate behaviors, such as self-stimulatory behaviors and self-injurious behaviors.
